The first image I chose was one of a soccer stadium because my dream was to one day change the lives of people or at least inspire them with my talent on the soccer field. Whether that dream still lives is another story but I still crave that feeling in all aspects of life.

This image is a statue that reminds me to build myself as a man and that I constantly need to be working on myself because I never know when I will be tested as a man and when that day comes I need to be the man I want to be.

I chose an image of a soaring bird because I have always had the desire and need to be able to fly for some strange reason. I have always felt that being able to fly is the ultimate form of freedom so flight represents freedom in my life.

Sharks have always interested me but what has always stood out to me is they never stop moving or they die. Which in a way is how I try and live my life by doing as much as I can and making the most of every situation.

A picture of the boots hanging on a line not only has nostalgic value as when I was younger for some reason there would always be a pair of boots hanging up somewhere whenever we would go play soccer in the neighbourhood but also because I am at a place in my life when I am considering actually "hanging up the boots" and giving up the sport I love.

Intro to me

 Introduction to KP

My name is Kalvador Petersen and I am from Zimbabwe. I came to Bethel on a soccer scholarship as my dream was to continue playing the sport I love whilst pursuing my education. I have been playing soccer since I was six years old. I have played a variety of sports throughout my years including cricket, field hockey, track and field, soccer, and swimming. I was not always the most sporty but once I found my passion for it I fell in love with the feeling that sport gave me.

Besides sports I enjoy reading and learning about the human mind. Most of all though I enjoy eating, I might even say I am addicted to good food. My top three restaurants are Nandos, Rocco Mamas, and Coimbra. Unfortunatley for me none of these restaurants are remotley close anymore so I have not been enjoying my guilty pleasures. I also have a slight sweet tooth with my favorite candy being trolli sour gummy worms, which I am DEFINITELY addicted to.

I am also a Computer Information Systems major, which is something I was not really sure about at first but I have always had a passion for computers and IT which made me choose this major. As of now I am not sure what I want to do with my life after college but I hope that over the course of the next few years I figure out where I want to go and what I want to do with my life.
